I.T Soft Skills
Training Programme

This programme uses the structure of the acclaimed IBM Soft Skills Training Programme, encompassing:

- Presenting with Purpose:
  Create/Deliver Effective Presentations
- Delivering Quality Work with Agility
- Solving Problems with
  Creative and Critical Thinking
- Developing Interpersonal Skills

In addition trainees learn about Agile Project Management, using a model created my Google's in-house training department, and later released to educators.  To make sure that training stays true to Google's original vision, I have taken and passed the official Google training.  However, to add further depth to my understanding of Agile, I have also completed Agile and Hybrid Approaches, by Microsoft Corporation.

- Your 'new' country, 'new' city
- Student admission and/or employment
- Cultural differences
- Dealing with culture shock
- Shopping, buying, and banking
- Dealing with landlords / housing agents

Trainees view and critique carefully selected video involving the above situations and are asked to envisage how they would respond to various difficult situations. 

In order to make these tasks more realistic, trainees are given limited time to understand a specific foreign currency and various terminology, such as 'rental bond' and 'guarantor'.
